Welcome! If you’re reading this & we haven’t met yet I’m Ainsley, the artist of Oreander Jewelry. I create jewelry guided by the core beliefs of never compromising on quality, designing for comfort as much as for style and using eco-thoughtful materials & processes as much as possible. Every piece leaving my studio in Winnipeg, Canada is one-of-a-kind, made by hand, and made to last.

I have a background in Interior & Industrial design and a lifelong passion for the handmade arts. My leap into the world of jewelry making began after a glass blowing dream inspired me to sign up for a class. I was immediately hooked on the torch and it wasn’t long before metals caught my eye.

There’s a fluid & magical element to working with metals - whether it’s soldering with a torch, hammering texture into wire, or opening the kiln door to find a piece of pure silver where there was once a delicate piece of metal clay. I create for the joy that comes from the process of metalworking and love exploring different materials & techniques.

I draw inspiration from many sources, particularly from the natural prairie landscapes close to home. A fascination for the raw beauty of wild grasses, wheat fields and obscure textures can be seen reflected in my pieces along with an affinity for simple shapes & clean lines.
